Use the Gemini New Moon to get out there and circulate ideas, information, and flirtation. The energy of the New Moon (Sunday, May 24th 2:34am EST) will continue to be felt over the next couple of weeks until the Full Moon.
This is the story of Butterfly + Flower, Eagle + Alien, Snail + Amoeba. Each pair of creatures represents an aspect of the astrological weather affecting us now.
time for a revolution in our evolution
The Butterfly is the New Moon in Gemini. It’s late Spring, a safe time to go and flit about socially — our natural curiosity drawing us out of ourselves and into the world. There are so many different options (flowers) to explore and find out about, so many people to talk to and share with.
The Butterfly works well with the Eagle, both are flying creatures after all, at home in the air (the realm of ideas). The Eagle sees life from above from a higher, more objective, less personal plane. He sees our planet as one and that we are all connected.
The Eagle and the Alien represent our collective spiritual direction (North Node in Aquarius). The Alien and the Eagle are in communication with each other. The Eagle sees the future and knows that our situation could be radically transformed if we embraced higher (alien) technology, with the well-being of the entire world as the motivation. A solution to every problem here on earth could be solved if we open ourselves to the unlimited possibilities the universe has to offer. We just have alter our perspective to be ready to receive this information download.
The Snail (Pluto in Capricorn) feels awkward in this scene. He remembers how long it took him to evolve from an Amoeba to a Snail — the long evolutionary road with it’s trials and tribulations. He doesn’t see an easy solution to the problems we face. From the snail’s point of view it will take awhile to restructure our reality to ensure survival. All of the flitting of the Butterfly seems superficial and wasteful to him. He’s skeptical and cynical, staying close to the ground, conservative and pragmatic.

SNAIL + AMOEBA — Pluto in Capricorn
The financial and personal crises that are occurring at an alarming rate of escalation have plunged many into a depression. It’s easy to completely go over to the other side, overcompensating for the over-optimistic era we’ve just come out of — withdrawing, feeling sorry for ourselves, resorting to the belief that it will take a long time to fix the mess we’re in.
EAGLE + ALIEN — North Node in Aquarius
However, we don’t have forever to fix things. Our spiritual direction is to see the world as one. Our collective survival depends upon us collectively elevating our point-of-view, growing beyond just pure self-preservation and caring instead about healing together — people, creatures, and climate. Right now there is a need for a revolution. Radical change must occur. Human technology must harmonize with nature. Amazing inventions and a new way of looking at things are what we need — now!
BUTTERFLY + FLOWER — New Moon in Gemini
At this moment, we can get together, peer-to-peer, to share our unique perspectives, information and knowledge with each other. The circulation of ideas is necessary for a new collective mind to evolve. Curiosity is healthy and should be indulged. If we listen and learn, clever solutions can be reached — healing our personal woes and at the same time, healing our environment.
