Your Choice - The 7 of Cups
November begins with the inevitability of CHANGE forcing us to drop the fluff and focus on more relevant desires. Continuing is a collective confusion about where we’re all headed, resulting in a mixed bag of dreams, fantasies, and fears of what the future may bring.
Reaching its zenith on election day, the battle between cautious conservatism and compassionate change seems easy to see. This complex tug-of-war affects us all.
On one side — getting bogged down in the details of life in an attempt to hang on to what’s real, the need to take a serious look at health issues, the call to perform responsible service. And on the other side — creative/spiritual breakthroughs, feeling at-one with everyone, crazy escapism, and possible extreme passivity.
The challenge of the next president and for each of us is to integrate the more evolved qualities of each of these “sides” into ourselves.
Mid-month it’s back-to-basics, a re-assessment of what we have. The opportunity exists to replace mere material worth with true values. Prevailing is a craving for structure, safety, and rules to maintain the peace.
Post-Thanksgiving, choose to indulge in holiday mania or truly brighten the world by respecting freedom and tolerance. Instead of just being temporarily satisfied with having conquered the PRESENT, we can positively envision the bigger picture.
